Ancestor Stories - Ray Family

Virginia Military Records

More research is required to determine how and if these various Ray and Wray men fit into my family tree. The Library of Virginia online catalog is the source for most of the information provided. It was my goal to determine if my direct line ancestor, Nathaniel Ray, Jr d. 1823, Allen County, KY recieved a land grant for his service in the War of 1812. I did not find him on the Library of Virginia site but did find him listed on Ancestry.com.
