Clairborne Lightfoot and Elizabeth Betsy Wray

I am working on the various family ties to the Ray / Wray Family in early Brunswick Co, VA. When I stumbled upon a Chacey Record in Brunswick Co, VA, the name Lightfoot looked very familiar to me. I opened up my genealogy program and found this Lightfoot family. Over the years I have become better at documenting who provided information to me but I do not know who the source of this information is. Also, in my notes, it would appear that the Lightfoot family was in Warren Co, KY and Allen Co, KY. Allen Co, KY is the estate / death location of Nathaniel Ray Jr.

• 1768 - Elizabeth Betsy Wray born to John Wray Jr. (1727-1790) and Martha Jarrett
• 27 Nov 1786 - Elizabeth and Clairborne married Brunswick Co, VA
• 1787 - Son, William M. Lightfoot born Brunswick Co, VA
• 22 July 1793 - Son, Henry Jarrett Lightfoot born Brunswick Co, VA

• 16 Jul 1823 - Son, John Lightfoot married Sarah Sherry, Allen Co, KY
• 1850 - John Lightfoot, born 1797 VA, enumerated in Allen Co, KY
• April 1860 - John Lightfoot, age 62, farmer died consumption, Butlersvlle, Allen Co, KY
• 22 July 1861 - Son, Henry Jarrett Lightfoot, died Adonis, Polk County, MO (spouse Barbara)
• 1864 - Elizabeth "Betsy" Wray Lightfoot buried at Old Drake Cemetery Warren Co, KY
• 1876 - Son, William Lightfoot died in Warren County, KY (spouse Sarah Wright m. 19 Sep 1810)
• 1877 - Son, Robert David Lightfoot died and buried at Old Drake Cemetery Warren Co, KY

There are likely a number of daughters but I have not had the time to fully build out this tree.

Cemetery Information

Elizabeth was the daughter of John Wray, Jr. of Virginia and Martha Jarratt. She married Claiborne Lightfoot, in Brunswick Virginia, on 24 Nov 1786. They lived their lives in Kentucky until their deaths.
