Lista Syers Bell 1896 - 1983
Lista Syers was born to Jacob Syers and his first wife, Virginia Sullivan Syers. We will never know if my grandmother Eleanor Syers knew she had other siblings as she only mentioned one - Toby (Talbot Syers) who she thought lived near Peoria, IL. As it turns out, her father, Jacob was a traveling salesman whose home office was in Peoria.
Some years ago, I connected with the family of Talbot but they were not convinced that my great grandparents were married. In fact, I'm not terribly sure they embaced the idea of the additional family members!

Notes:
Lista was a nurse and obtained her Social Security Card in Michigan. According to another researcher, she and her husband lived in Chicago for awhile where he was a police officer.
