Father: Jefferson Davis Cook (1860 - 1916)
Mother: Mary Emma Roach Cook
The only information that I have about William is that he
served in France during WWI, moved to St. Louis, Missouri
and after his wife passed away, he committed suicide.
No children were born to William and his wife.
But his wife might have had a previous marriage
and may have had children from that union.
William's younger brother, Jasper Marvin Cook,
lived in Granite City, Madison County, Illinois -
just across the river from St. Louis.
According to my great aunt, it was my grandmother,
Emma Cook Ray Mann and her husband Harry Mann,
who found her Uncle Will.
I have found the death certificate for both William and his wife, Ida Mae Singleton Cook.
They are online at the Missiouri State Archives web site. Will and Ida lived on N. 11th Street in St. Louis.
Will died 3 years after Ida. Ida was about 10 years older than her husband, Will.
